and fear of cancer
are all factors in delaying treatment,” Dr. Aji said.
Most procedures, which take only few minutes, are performed on
an outpatient basis under local anesthesia. Patients return home
shortly after the procedure is over.
No stay in the hospital, No pain, No General anesthesia, No
repeated sessions, No blood tests or special preparations are
needed.
Essentially, and contrary to some misleading adds, there is no
one magic procedure or treatment to hemorrhoids, it is rather a
collection of effective, painless and safe procedures that can
be performed only by specialized team that has the dedication
and the know how and the experience to do it on a daily basis
utilizing the best instruments and equipment developed in recent
years to reach finally the goal of getting rid of hemorrhoids
painlessly and indefinitely.
Advanced Endo-laser equipment, Ligasure sealing device, Infra
Red Coagulator and Surgitron Unit are just some of the
equipments used at ProctoCure, they are used to effectively
treat not only all types and degrees of Hemorrhoids but
also other anal problems such as Anal Fissure ( chronic
tear in the anal canal that causes recurring anal pain
especially after bowel movement ) and Anal Fistula ( a
recurring infection near the anus that can develop into a
life-threatening condition if not addressed properly early on in
its course, it is usually manifested by mild underwear soilage
and /or secretions) and Pilonidal Cyst (a chronic deep
skin infection in the lower back or above the anus that often
contain ingrown hair and spreads under the skin and causes major
discomfort and embarrassment to patient ) and most causes of
rectal bleeding ( which may require a complimentary
Colonoscopy that can be done in the same visit at AHPC to rule
out other more serious causes of rectal bleeding while treating
the condition )
Hemorrhoids are natural tissues found in the anal canal, and
essentially are swollen veins. Hemorrhoidal disease results when
the anal tissue and veins enlarge and descend downward into the
anal canal. The condition can result from several factors,
including constipation with prolonged straining, diet and
pregnancy. Symptoms of hemorrhoids including aching after a
bowel movement; anal or rectal itching; bright red blood on
toilet tissue or in toilet bowl; appearance of anal tissue pads
or sensitive lumps. When any of these symptoms are present, it
is important to see a physician to make sure the cause of the
discomfort is hemorrhoids and not some other condition.
Internal hemorrhoids are usually not painful, but may bleed.
Sometimes, an internal hemorrhoid may stretch until it bulges
outside the anus. This is called a prolapsed hemorrhoid. A
prolapsed hemorrhoid can go back inside the rectum on its own,
or it can be gently pushed back inside. In advanced cases they
stay outside and can not be pushed back.
External hemorrhoids involve the veins of the anus. They can be
itchy or painful and can sometimes crack and bleed. If a blood
clot forms, one may feel a tender lump on the edge of the anus,
and see bright red blood on toilet paper or in the toilet after
a bowel movement.
Often, lifestyle changes, diet, topical medications and good
hygiene are all that is needed to reduce the symptoms of
hemorrhoids, but unfortunately, once you have them, they never
go away, and before these newer treatment techniques, patients
had to choose between ineffective topical creams and painful
traditional surgical procedures. At ProctoCure (and other highly
specialized centers in the world) we offer our patients the
third - and by far the best - option which makes the suffering
from hemorrhoids go away forever in one visit to right place. |
